We don’t collect your data. Here’s exactly what that means.
Last updated October 1, 2026
The short version
- Spunto has no servers, no accounts, no analytics and no advertising.
- Your notes and actions are stored on your devices and synced through your own private iCloud database. We can’t see them.
- Notes are read by Apple Intelligence, on your device or on Apple’s Private Cloud Compute. Nothing is sent to us or to any other company.
- Spunto only uses the permissions you grant, for the purpose shown when it asks.
Who we are
Spunto is made by Eduardo Cedillo Martinez, Mexico City, Mexico (“we”, “us”). This policy covers the Spunto apps for iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch and Apple Vision Pro, and this website.
What we collect
Nothing. We do not collect, store, sell or share personal information. The apps contain no analytics, tracking, advertising or third-party code, and they never send your content to us.
Where your content lives
Everything you write in Spunto, including notes, actions, the pages Spunto builds about people, places and topics, and your settings, is stored on your devices. If iCloud is turned on, it syncs between your devices through your private iCloud database, under your Apple Account. Apple’s handling of iCloud data is described in Apple’s Privacy Policy. We have no access to your iCloud data.
Which kinds of actions you’ve allowed Spunto to suggest syncs between your devices through iCloud too. The system permissions themselves stay on each device.
How your notes are read
Spunto uses Apple Intelligence to read your notes, suggest actions and write summaries. Requests run either on your device or on Apple’s Private Cloud Compute, which Apple designed so that your data is used only to fulfill the request, is not stored, and is not accessible to Apple. Spunto does not use any other AI service.
Permissions
Spunto asks for access only when a feature first needs it. You can change any permission at any time in your device’s Settings.
| Permission | What it’s used for |
|---|---|
| Reminders and Calendar | Adding the to-dos and events you keep, to the list and calendar you choose. |
| Contacts | Saving the people you choose to add. |
| Alarms | Setting the alarms and timers you keep. |
| Microphone and Speech Recognition | Recording and transcribing spoken notes. |
| Location (optional) | Remembering where you wrote a note. Location stays on your device. |
| Health (Apple Watch) | Starting a workout a note asks for. |
| Journaling Suggestions (iPhone) | Turning a moment you pick into a note. Spunto sees only the moments you select. |
Apple services
To do what you ask, Spunto uses services built into your devices: iCloud for sync, Apple Intelligence for reading, Apple Maps to find places, Apple Music to find songs and playlists, and Siri, Shortcuts and Spotlight if you use them. These are provided by Apple under its own terms and privacy policy.
Diagnostics
If you choose to share analytics with app developers in your device’s settings, Apple may give us anonymous crash reports and aggregated usage statistics. These contain none of your content and can’t identify you. You can turn sharing off at any time in Settings ▸ Privacy & Security ▸ Analytics & Improvements.
This website
This site uses no cookies, analytics or tracking. Its typeface is served by Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when the page loads, as described in Google’s Privacy Policy. Our host keeps standard server logs for security.
Children
Spunto is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone, of any age.
Your choices
Because your content is stored only on your devices and in your iCloud, you’re in control of it. You can export or delete anything in the app. To remove everything, delete the app from your devices and delete Spunto’s data from iCloud in Settings ▸ your name ▸ iCloud ▸ Manage Storage.
Changes
If this policy changes, we’ll update this page and the date above. If a change ever meant collecting data, we would ask you first in the app.
